1 How were the Anklav. 100 Most Creative Russians selected?

The final list is based on more than two thousand nominations from over 200 opinion leaders and experts. The study was carried out in four stages, whereas each stage contributed to the total score of the participant.

Stage 1

Detection and survey of creative opinion leaders

Stage 2

Survey of industry experts from each of the creative disciplines

Stage 3

Analysis of indicators

Stage 4

Voting of the expert commission

2 Why so many stages?

This structured approach enabled us to take into account visions of both individuals within creative industries as well as outside experts. The creative economy is interconnected with various areas of the economy and everyday life, therefore, the expert commission included people with various professional backgrounds, including sociology, psychology, investment, public management, and the media.

3 What were the selection criteria?

Our experts looked at the following:

  • innovation
  • impact on the respective discipline
  • creation of new businesses
  • export potential
  • other achievements (international recognition, awards, financial success).

4 Representatives from which areas of creative industries are on the list?

We investigated the following industries:

  • Film, Video and Photography
  • Television and Radio
  • Music
  • Architecture
  • Advertising and Marketing
  • Design
